PAX
Hey all you out there in Internets land!
I just got off a 30 hour train journey from the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle: a 3 day celebration of all that is exciting about computer games.
I want to tell you all about it in detail but I’ve already written about 8 pages in my diary and I really don’t want to write them all again, so here’s some snippets:
Hot: Haze, Warhammer online, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Eye of Judgement, Freezepop finishing their set with Final Countdown, MC Frontalot, getting Freezepop’s setlist, meeting hundreds of amazing people, Wil Wheaton’s Keynote speech (Find it on Youtube guys!), Assassin’s Creed, 30 hour trains with awesome people helping to convert the train into some kind of geek paradise.
Not: No MMO’s focused on PvE in sight, The Playstation boxer-shorts running out before I could get a free pair, me sucking at Mario Kart DS non-stop, hotel parties getting shut down early.
Sorry I haven’t been able to get online in a week, believe it or not, PAX was the one place in the world where I couldn’t get to an internetted PC! I’m now in San Francisco, my hostel looks pretty sweet, and I’ve finally got round to doing some very overdue laundry!
